A List of Things That I Like About Fall:

  • Windy afternoons
  • Pink cheeks
  • Scarves
  • Hats
  • Rain smell
  • Increased enjoyment of hot foods
  • Increased enjoyment of hot drinks
  • Rain storms
  • Tights
  • Getting to wear my cowboy boots
  • The color orange
  • Creatively slutty Halloween costumes (slutty cat, slutty nurse, slutty axe murderer, slutty bus driver, etc)
  • Box stuffing
  • Cold, sunny days
  • My new green military jacket
  • Sleeping under the weight of nine blankets

What’d I miss?  What are your favorites?

Pumpkin spice flavors everywhere! Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice scented candles, pumpkin spice Hershey’s kisses… and regular ol’ pumpkin pie, of course

“Increased enjoyment of hot foods.” Heck yeah! Already looking forward to steaming bowls of noodle soup, hearty mac n’ cheese, chicken and roast potatoes…the list goes on.

“Increased enjoyment of hot drinks” fo’ sho- I can get hot coffee again! Also, apple crisp and a whole other assortment of delicious apple desserts, not sweating like crazy en route to class (this is what I get for living in NC), and layering (sometimes, in the summer, I can’t even stand wearing a necklace).

You say this just as the hottest day of this summer rolls around here in Santa Barbara… heh. I’m envious of your cold weather!

Fall is good because you’re getting to the point of it being cold to the degree that everyone and everything is unexplainably prettier. I don’t really think you’ll know what I mean, but have you ever noticed that? When people are the right amount of cold it seems like all the good features come out in their faces… I’ll stop now.
